Minders 1.1.2 Released - What's Up With That?

You can now edit the post date, and you can see it prominently in the post editor.

My first app update of the new year: Minders 1.1.2 has just been released for Mac and iOS.

Post Date Editing

This update adds the ability to edit a post’s date. Often, you want to write a post for events that happened yesterday, and naturally, you’d like to set the date of the post to, well, yesterday. Now you can! Simply click on the calendar icon to bring up the date picker to choose the date of a post.

Future Posting

Another nice little feature in this update is the ability to specific the exact date you’d like a future post to appear. If you want to remind yourself of something, create a new post and click the clock icon next to the Post button. Previously, you were limited to 7 days, 14 days, or 30 days. Now you can pick the exact date a post will appear in the feed.

“Couldn’t open the default file. What’s up with that?”

Finally, this update changes the database the app uses slightly. This means that you should make sure all your devices are using the latest version of Minders to view your feed.

If you update Minders to the latest version on one device and then try to access it on another device using an older version, you may see an error message like the one below:

This error message is admittedly awful, but it simply means you should update the version of Minders on that device. Once you do, everything will work just fine. (This error message has been updated in the latest version of the app to be much more helpful!)
