Welcome to the new blog!

I’ve been neglecting to blog lately. I blame WordPress.

I’ve had www.ussherpress.com/blog up for a few years now but have found that using WordPress is a bit of a pain.

It’s slow and bulky, and every once in a while I get locked out of the admin page because it was hammered by some hackers. 😔

The blog post editor is nice, but WordPress offers way too many features that I will never use, making it a little bit complicated to maintain. My needs are simple and I’m okay with writing posts using a text editor.

I’ve used Jekyll before on a couple of other sites, and found it to be incredibly easy to set up, so I’m using it on this new site.

So, watch this space for more posts. I’m going to be posting more about indiedev as well as macOS/iOS development tips!
