Card Buddy Is Here!
I’m incredibly excited to launch Card Buddy today. It’s now available in the Mac App Store.
If you’re like me, you have a lot of ideas, but find it difficult to organize them all using traditional digital tools. You love jotting down thoughts on physical sticky notes and organizing them on a board. That works great, but then the only way to “save” or share that information is to take a photo.
That’s where Card Buddy comes in.
Card Buddy was built for this scenario. Use it to jot down your ideas on index cards and place them on a virtual canvas. Save it to a document and share with your coworkers.
Best of all, it’s so simple and convenient. Unlike other “tools for thought”, you already know how to use it. There’s no complicated UI to manage a “network” of documents in the cloud. It’s document-based, so your data is on your device, ready for viewing and editing.
A document houses a canvas of your cards. You can write notes on either side of a card, and even attach an image. You can re-arrange those cards on a canvas.
That’s all you need to know to use the app.
I’ve been hard at work on Card Buddy for a little over two months. Using my industry experience doing Mac and iOS development for large companies, and my indie development experience working on Fresh Cards, I’ve infused a lot of design sensibility into Card Buddy.
I want it to feel as quick and natural as a word processor or a spreadsheet. In fact, you can use the keyboard exclusively to drive the app. This means you can get your ideas down on the page and re-arrange it with ease.
Check out Card Buddy today and let me know what you think. It’s available now in the App Store.
